The smart way forward
WATER RECYCLING
For us, every drop of water matters. That's why we recycle 1.93 million KL of water annually through advanced infrastructure, reusing it for landscaping, cleaning, and other essential operations.
RAINWATER UTILISATION
To ensure no amount of water is wasted, we harvest 5 million KL of rainwater annually, reducing our dependence on freshwater.
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
Across all our buildings, STPs enable 100% recycled water usage for HVAC & DG cooling, horticulture, and flushing. At DLF Cyber City, Gurugram, the STP operates at a capacity of 7 million litres per day.
WATER EFFICIENCY
Through advanced STP maintenance, our systems operate at up to 95% efficiency, ensuring maximum water reuse and aiming zero net freshwater consumption.
REDUCTION IN FRESH WATER CONSUMPTION
As per the National Building Code, the daily per-person water consumption standard is 40L. At DLF buildings, usage is reduced to just 20-25L, nearly half the norm.
SMART WATER MANAGEMENT AT EVERY DROP
Meters and sub-meters track water use at every point, while low-flow taps cut flow by 50-60%. Pressure-reducing valves, efficient irrigation systems, sensor-based fixtures, waterless urinals, and low-flow dual flush systems further optimise usage across facilities.
WASTE RECYCLING
5.1 Million KG waste recycled annually.
Waste from our developments is sorted and recycled, while organic waste is composted for landscaping at our campuses.

Proper waste management is ensured through on-site segregation and vendor-managed recycling and disposal. From e-waste to organic waste, every stream is handled responsibly, with organic waste composters converting wet waste into compost for horticulture.
GREEN ENERGY GENERATION
We generate 3.9 million kW of green energy annually and are steadily transitioning through strategic partnerships and infrastructure. Most buildings feature rooftop solar plants, with DLF Chennai operating on 85% green power, DLF Cyber City, Hyderabad on 100%, and DLF Mall of India Noida on 50%.

With a solar capacity of 3,950 kW, we have installed solar energy systems across our developments nationwide, reinforcing our commitment to driving progress while minimising carbon impact.
